I first started shooting weddings as a full-time career in 2004. In that time, I've made it to every wedding I've been contracted to shoot. At the end of December I got hit hard with this season's dreaded flu. I tried to rally, my mind said "come on!" but my body just wasn't there. So what do you do when you can't make it? You call on great photographers who not only know your style and can deliver on what the client signed up for, but also bring their own signature styles. Rob Brown really saved the day and Marc Beaulieu who had already been scheduled as my second photographer was there as a great support.
I first met Rob, when he and his wife Nicole, booked me to document their wedding in March of 2007. At the time Rob was shooting professionally and had a few weddings under his belt. We struck up a friendship and he was eager to join me for the rest of that season. He soon built up his own wedding photography business with a great eye for candids. Marc, followed a similar path to Rob. He first joined me in 2010 and went on to build his own business from there. If there were two guys who could deliver what Caroline and Matt originally signed up for, it would be Rob and Marc!
Caroline and Matt couldn't' be happier with the results and I agree. I'm so grateful to have great friends who know me and my style and could bring it to a very important client's wedding. The hardest part for me was not being able to celebrate and ring in the New Year with such a cool couple! I really got to know Caroline and Matt through the planning process, engagement shoot, and bridal shoot for Caroline. After processing the wedding images, I kind of feel like I was at the wedding!
Big props to Ellen Pels at the Seaport Hotel for her positive vibe and assistance for all throughout the evening. Everyone is still raving about her, and I'm not surprised as the Seaport attracks awesome people! Also, a big thank you to Ludwig Limousine for agreeing to stick around for a shot on the bridge which I originally thought up a few days prior to the wedding. Melissa and Tom of Long Haul Films were great to work with both leading up to the wedding and the day of. And Beantown kept everyone dancing and celebrating throughout the night. Oh, and their stage lights were also very cool and enhanced many of the shots. Last but not least, a huge thank you to Rob and Marc for supporting me and bringing the professionalism and fun to Caroline and Matt's wedding! Good karma is coming back your way guys!
